Pond Clearing FAQ
Will clearing cause erosion?
We're careful about this. The mulch layer we leave behind actually helps prevent erosion. For steep banks, we can recommend follow-up seeding or erosion control measures.
Can you work on the dam?
Yes. Clearing brush and trees from pond dams is actually important for dam safety. Roots can create channels that compromise the structure over time.
How close to the water can you get?
Our equipment can work right up to the waterline in most cases. We won't go into the water, but we can clear everything above it.
What about steep banks?
Our remote-controlled mulcher handles slopes up to 55 degrees. Perfect for steep pond banks that are dangerous to maintain with conventional equipment.
