Banks, slopes and soft ground.
Water changes the job. Wet soil, steep banks and dams limit where equipment can safely work, so we look at those first and match the machine to what the bank can carry.
Steep banks
The FAE RCU 55 is run by remote, so the operator stays on solid ground while the machine works the slope. Soft ground and embankment stability still set the limits.

Will clearing cause erosion?
We're careful about this. The mulch layer we leave behind actually helps prevent erosion. For steep banks, we can recommend follow-up seeding or erosion control measures.
Can you work on the dam?
Dam vegetation work needs particular care. Before removing established trees or disturbing roots on an embankment, confirm the plan with the dam owner and a qualified dam professional. Clearing is not a structural inspection or dam repair.
How close to the water can you get?
Working distance depends on bank stability, soil moisture, slope, access, and any required buffers. We assess those limits before selecting equipment or promising waterline access.
What about steep banks?
Remote-controlled equipment can help on some steep banks, but rated slope capability is not a site guarantee. Soft ground, water, and embankment stability can limit where equipment can work.
