Reopening an overgrown hillside in Cincinnati
A wooded hillside needed its dense understory opened up. Restricted access and fallen timber called for a clearing plan suited to the terrain.

The goal: usable ground beneath the trees
Charles described the project as clearing 1.1 acres of heavily overgrown property. His goal was a change in how the space could be used: turning an inaccessible area into open ground. His review describes the transformation in practical terms: land that had been unusable became accessible again.
Different equipment for different parts of the job
The hillside’s limited access shaped the scope. Brushworks planned remote-controlled forestry mulching for the restricted work area and separate handling of larger deadfall. Suitable vegetation could be processed in place, while fallen timber needed to be moved and consolidated rather than treated as ordinary brush.
The result: a visible wooded edge
Completion photos show mulched ground beneath standing trees and an open transition along the lawn. Charles posted his review on completion day, describing accessible land and praising the crew’s communication. He also said he would hire Brushworks again for future projects.
